you say for extensive notes, use the single entry method, but there isn’t enough room. is there a way to expand the “extensiveness” to accommodate my needs?

QuickBooks has a built-in max for notes on a time entry. The online Time Tracker service reflects this maximum so that time can properly flow into QuickBooks without the notes being truncated. Though, your request for a larger notes field has been captured and shared with the team. Thanks.

Is there plans to have an Time Tracker application for the iPhone?

Hi Peg,
We’re looking at the possibilities for Time Tracker mobile clients. We don’t currently have an iPhone app, but it’s a request we’ve had multiple times. What problem would an iPhone app solve for you?

How soon will an iphone Time Tracker app be available ? This app would be very useful not have to start up a notebook every time you go to a client. Also file export via webdev.

Rodney, we agree that an iPhone version of Time Tracker would be a time-saver, so we’re looking into it. It’s no fun lugging around a laptop unnecessarily.
Could you elaborate more on the type of export you’d like? Do you have a specific system you’d like to import the data into?

I’m using Quickbook Pro 2008 windows based, I would like to have either an updated Quickbook Timer that the iPhone app can sync up with or with WebDev being able to copy the file to the desktop then import into Quickbook like you normaly do with a timer file.

Thanks, it’s helpful to hear your need while we investigate the possibilities.

@Rodney, please be more careful with your acronyms!
I think you meant to say WebDAV (Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning, defined in RFC 4918) which is the protocol that the iPhone uses to sync with MobileMe storage in the cloud. The WebDAV protocol is an extension of the HTTP protocol which allows interactivity — think of it as a two-way web server that accepts updates in addition to serving up data.
On the other hand, “WebDev” is a generic term related to “web development” and can refer to many different things, unless you are referring to WebDev, the CASE (Computer Aided Software Engineering) tool for creating websites developed by PC Soft. I wouldn’t imagine that the integration of this specific software with QB Time Tracker would be a high priority for the Intuit developers.
HTH. HAND.

The Gadget works, when I sync it, the data clears out but where does it go ?????
When the “dashboard” is clicked nothing happens.
